The Gundla Kamma project was built on the Gundlalam river at 80 feet high at Mallavaram with a storage capacity of 12.845 tmns. The project aims to provide 62,368 acres in Kharif and 80.060 acres in Rabi with Rs. The project was constructed with 592 crores. The water was released from the project through the hands of late Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy in November 2008. Apart from irrigated, this project provides 250,000 drinking water in Ongole and Ongole.
The Rallapadu reservoir is one of the major projects in the district. It was constructed at Kandukur constituency, at the Linguara Mandalam, Rallapadu. With an area of 2202 sq km, 31.30 million cubic meters of storage capacity is under construction and 16,500 acres are officially and eight thousand acres unofficially. The length of 20km is 14500 acres long and 3km long lengths to 1500 acres. The new spillway has been built with 5 gates in the 12.19 × 7.62m evolution with 12 gates in the evolution of 12.19 × 4.57 m. Drinking water and irrigation is done by Kondapur in Nellore district, as a felicitation center for Goodlaru and Gender Sea zones in Prakasam district. Suitable for agriculture.
